Spicy Chocolate Margarita

Flavors of dark chocolate, warm cinnamon, citrusy Cointreau, Tequila and a hint of cayenne pepper come together to create the most decadent margarita.

Ingredients
  

For The Rim:

  • dark chocolate syrup
  • finely chopped bittersweet chocolate

For The Margarita:

  • ¼ cup dark chocolate syrup
  • 4 oz Tequila
  • 2 oz chocolate liquor
  • oz Cointreau
  • oz heavy cream
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • tsp cayenne pepper (you can add more if you prefer a more spicy cocktail)
  • ice for serving

Instructions
 

For the Rim:

  • Place the chocolate syrup and chopped chocolate in two separate dishes. Dip the rim of each glass in the syrup and then the chocolate to coat.

For the Margarita:

  • Combine all drink ingredients in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and and shake to combine. Pour into the prepared glasses. Serve cold.

Notes

You can combine all the ingredients ahead of time and keep refrigerated. Just before serving add ice and shake.
